Join the UCLA RCMAR Coordinating Center on Jan. 15 for a webinar that provides an overview of the issues of race and racism in research. Dr. Keith Norris will discuss a way forward for conducting and reporting research practices that include race/ethnicity with a sensitivity to the use of race/ethnicity as a proxy for ancestral gene polymorphism vs. a marker of society and the historic and contemporary role of racism and societal inequities on health to move toward justice and elimination of ubiquitous influence of racism in how we conduct and interpret our research.
